It seems only natural for my mind to wander on the first day of Spring. 

My garden never truly fell asleep for winter here in the sub-tropics. And we’ve enjoyed many luxurious blue-sky days in the low 20s for most of the season.

Old habits die hard. 

Pocketing striped cone shells from rock pools, sunset walks on the rock wall as the trawlers leave for a night at sea, pointing out dolphins and whales to whomever will listen. 

We could go anywhere really, but our hearts draw
How do two Tasmanians end up in the hills north of Brisbane? Dew on the grass outside the Lake Samsonvale hall. 

I am always curious how people end up where they live, particularly if it is rural. So many considerations go into a decision like that,
