How to use your photographs on social media

Most often I photograph content for my clients to use on their social media, and these days this mostly means Instagram and Facebook.

Here are a few tips on getting the most out of your photography session with me, both during the shoot and after you receive the photos:

  • Think about the kind of content that works best on your social media. Is it images or videos? Closeups or wide shots? Negative space or colourful?

  • Do you need images that can be cropped square for Instagram or will you use them for banners on your website and Facebook too?

  • Load all your photographs to a Dropbox or Google Drive and have the appropriate app installed on your phone, so you can easily access the photographs at any time.

Your content is not just for social media! Upload it to your website, create blog posts! Send an eflyer to clients.

Need help doing some or ALL of this? I can help. I now offer social media assistance and management to my photography clients.
