Dairy Sheds at the RNA Showgrounds

I have memories of sitting at the bus stop with my father. Waiting for the bus to come and take us to the Ekka.

I have memories with my brothers and the newspaper pullout, planning on how to best spend the generous $30 showbag allowance from our parents.

That was all a long time ago and things have changed a lot since then, at the RNA Showgrounds.

I have always loved visiting the cows at the Ekka. Especially in the mornings, as the dust dances in sunbeams and we breathed in that earthy smell of hay.

Soon these old green walls and wooden feed boxes will be demolished, and I am not sure what will be put in their place. Probably something with a whole lot less character and feeling.

So the only thing that made sense to do this year, was visit them with my camera, so that I can remember.
