Summer getaways on the East Coast

The beach is definitely the place to be in summer.

My go-to summer destination has always been Yamba in Northern NSW. I grew up going there almost every year, and am lucky to still be able to visit frequently.

When I was younger we would spend the mornings on Main beach with coffee or ice cream from the kiosk. Lunch would be prawn sandwiches or a fresh salad. Afternoon naps would be followed up by a final swim of the day on Convent beach. And sometimes we would browse the shops or pop into the cinema.

These days, on weekends with my folks at Yamba, we often have a dog or several with us, and so we always take them for a run in the off-leash area on Pippi at least once a day. I find watching our dogs gallop along the sand one of the most wonderful simple joys in my life.

I have photographed a few wonderful coastal properties in my years as a photographer. What I love most is that they have all been so different from eachother, each offering something unique.

Below is a selection of some coastal airbnb photography jobs from 2023… maybe your next holiday destination?
