Small business Christmas gift ideas for 2023

I don’t often have a long list of people to buy for at Christmas. It is usually just my husband, my life-long best friend and one secret-santa gift for one person in my immediate family. And I always try my hardest to support a small business when buying for Christmas.

While there are only 8 of us (my folks, my brothers and our partners), my family does secret-santa style gifting at Christmas where we buy one small gift for another member of the family and donate a portion of money to a charity too. This year I stopped into a local store in Ashgrove to buy something special and to give my postie a break.

We all need a little help at this time of year, figuring out the perfect gift… and each year I try to share with you a collection of product-based small businesses that I have worked with across the year to inspire your Christmas gifting…

So I hope you enjoy my 2023 edition!

Ivy Alice Vintage

Sadly, Christmas orders have actually closed for Mel’s beautiful wooden boards. However, I couldn’t not include her as I am such a huge fan of what she does. Maybe a treat for yourself in the new year to one of her amazing recycled timber creations.
