Collaboration with Nikon

I feel very lucky that my mum took the time to learn how to compose and take beautiful photographs on an SLR of my brothers and I when we were growing up. She was a loyal Nikon shooter. And so when it came time for me to buy a DSLR to study photography at Tafe, Mum bought me a Nikon D90. I have had many upgrades since then, however I still shoot almost exclusively with Nikon gear to this day.

So when Nikon reached out to me asking if I would give their new Nikkor Z DX 12-28mm f/3.5-5.6 lens a test run I told the marketing team this story too.

It is a nifty little zoom lens, that would make a good addition for a traveller's camera bag. I put it through its paces at its widest and longest focal lengths, which was a challenge for me as I tend to avoid shooting with wide angles but also such a fun challenge.
Thanks so much to @woolcott.cottage for letting me photograph part of the series at their property as well as thanks to my friend @debstagramieson for posing for me.

I had a fairly open brief, with the main goal being to showcase the focal lengths of the lens by capturing some beautiful interior and lifestyle scenes. The imagery was used across the Nikon website, EDM campaigns, and social media posts for various worldwide Nikon channels!
