I love meeting and getting to the know the people behind the home.
This home belongs to interior designer Jordan Cash and her family (husband, Dion, daughter Goldie and dog, Forrest). Her style is so incredibly laidback yet perfectly on point. The house is a freshly renovated late 1890s worker’s cottage, a typical Brisbane home. I love that Jordan has retained the character of the home outside and while still using VJ boards and the old windows, she has created a modern living space inside.
“We wanted to create a space that was open and conversational perfect for the never-ending buzz of family life and entertaining. We have a big, loud family that love to eat; there are always people coming and going. So naturally, the kitchen is the heart of the home, with all rooms flowing off either side. The open plan living area has the ability to completely open up to the outdoor space, blurring the lines between inside and out and connecting the main living spaces to the pool. Perfect for balmy summer afternoon barbeques.”
I love the black, white and natural tones that Jordan has used throughout the home and I know you will too!
